I review books and music, I love what I do! It kicks ass for many reasons but you know what I love about reviewing the most? That pivotal moment when you realize that you just stumbled on your next favorite band that is going to be a permanent part of your MP3 rotation. Well…Her Bed of the Thorns debut CD Alive is one of those gems. They’ve made my MP3 player rotation and let me tell you, that is some heavy duty competition for space on my MP3 player. Honestly, there isn’t a single song I didn’t like…something that I can’t even say about many of my top favorite “heavy hitters.”
Her Bed of Thorns mixes a great blend of hard driving rock with incredible vocals and lyrics, a killer genre range that is both melodic and progressive. Alive is simply one of the best new CD’s I’ve heard in a long time. Quality rock you don’t see every day. Alive has everything for every mood and makes you wanna move. From the heavy driving rock of Alive that opens their debut CD to some of my favorites on the CD like Better Way, Fall Down, Help Me, No Reason and Take Everything. They are all amazing moody melodic rock songs that will sit with you for a long time. Alive finishes with the hard rockin’ bang of Wreckless, they leave you ready for the hit to national tour circuit, because I will be at the first show I can! Okay, so I admit, these guys had me dancing and moving all over my house while I was listening. Gotta love a band that makes you lose yourself in their music!
Her Bed of Thorns, out of Encinitas, CA, is a band that will appeal to a lot of rockers out there, don’t shy away. These guys are versatile and talented… They will blow you away with their debut CD Alive being released on Feb 1st, 2012. Check out their site at http://www.herbedofthorns.com. And their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/HER-BED-OF-THORNS/131965553497945. I found some great info on stuff they are doing for their fans to celebrate the release.
